Privacy policy

Last updated 8 November 2026.

ProducerTube is run by Blast-2 Music Group. This page explains what the site stores and what it doesn't.

YouTube API Services

ProducerTube uses YouTube API Services to show video details (titles, channels, lengths and availability) and plays videos with YouTube's embedded player. By using this site you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

What's stored on your device

The site saves the following in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your browser, and we can't see it:

You can clear your history at any time on the Settings page, or clear all of it by clearing your browser's site data.

YouTube's player

No YouTube content loads until you press play. The player uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), but once a video plays, YouTube may set cookies or similar storage and collect data as described in the Google Privacy Policy. Video frames shown in lists are loaded from YouTube's image servers (i.ytimg.com).

Counting visits

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, and to see which pages and which referring sites bring people here. It sets no cookies and doesn't use your browser's storage. To count a visit, Cloudflare processes your IP address and your browser's user agent, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. It doesn't record query strings, so the words you search for on ProducerTube aren't sent as part of the page address. Only Blast-2 Music Group sees the numbers.

How we choose videos

To choose videos, we read public YouTube playlists and a sample of public comments through YouTube API Services. We keep only counts and scores. We never store or publish comment text or commenters' names, and we don't keep anything about you as a visitor from this. An AI service (Anthropic's Claude) processes video descriptions and comment samples to draft write-ups and scores, which the editor then checks.

What we don't do

Hosting and links

The site is hosted on Netlify, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to serve pages, under its own privacy policy. Links to quoted comments go to the sites they came from.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, Netlify stores what you send: your message, the reason, any video link, and your email address if you give one. We use it only to answer you or act on the request, and delete it once it's dealt with.

Privacy questions

For any question about your data, or to ask us to see or delete what the contact form holds about you, email privacy@producertube.org.
